Can I bring my children?
Although MACHS still wants to encourage parents to take the conference as a get-away to be refreshed for their homeschool journey, we understand that this is not possible for some families. MACHS Conference offers attendees the option of bringing their children along, provided they:
1) Are registered and wear their nametag.
2) Are under the parent’s direct supervision at all times
3) Are not disruptive of the other attendees, either in the sessions or the exhibit hall.
Children under two years of age are free.
Children ages 2-12 are $20 per child.
Children thirteen and over must be registered for teen track, although they are free to attend sessions with their parents.
Can I purchase an ‘Exhibit Hall Only’ pass?
We have regular requests for exhibit hall passes and, although we understand some of the advantages of offering this service, at this time, the MACHS board and conference committee are committed to making the conference a place of fellowship and learning with top-quality speakers and not just a place to shop. We know that some people would like to do so, but the entrance fees are going to remain for the complete package to encourage as many people as possible to take in the lineup of speakers.
Who can attend Teen Track?
Teen track is for grades 7 through 12 so if your child will turn 13 this year (born in 2011), he/she can attend teen track.
Parents may attend these sessions as well if desired.
Do guests have to register to attend the graduation recognition?
Any family member, friend, or guest may attend the graduation recognition without registering for the conference.
To participate in the graduation recognition, homeschool families need to register their graduate (deadline March 8, 2024). This costs $50 and can be done here.
For further questions regarding homeschool families who have a student graduating this year, contact conference@machs.ca.
Why is membership included in the cost?
Membership is included in the cost of conference registration. This was done to streamline conference registration and decrease administrative costs.
The benefits of membership can be found here.

Who qualifies for the missionary registration?
Christian missionaries, who are with a Christian-based organization/ministry and are 100% faith supported, qualify for the reduced-cost registration. A prayer card or a letter of support from their missionary organization needs to be presented in order to register.
Before registering online, please forward a prayer card or support letter to conference@machs.ca. Please mark it “missionary registration” in the subject line. Once the request is confirmed, an email will be forwarded outlining the registration process.
Can my pastor attend the conference?
Full-time pastors who might be opposed to homeschooling or are unaware of what it is, who want to become more informed about homeschooling, or who have school-aged children that are not currently being homeschooled, may attend the conference for free: they can come and learn all about it. Have them email conference@machs.ca for directions.
Pastors who are currently homeschooling must register for the conference normally at the full price.
Can grandparents attend the conference?
Yes! Grandparents who are involved with the homeschooling of their grandchildren, or who support their children's decision to homeschool and want to learn more, may attend the conference for free! Please email conference@machs.ca for direction with the registration process.
